The Padberg, Corrigan and Appelbaum Law Firm has long been involved with serving the needs of Pemiscot County, Missouri residents in need of excellence in personal injury trial law. For example, the Padberg, Corrigan and Appelbaum Firm obtained a $435,000.00 settlement for a Pemiscot County man who sustained a fractured knee caused by an 18-wheel tractor-trailer truck.
Organized February 19,1851 from New Madrid County, Pemiscot County is located along the Missisippi River in the agricultural “Bootheel” area of Southeast Missouri. The county seat of Pemiscot is the city of Caruthersville. The first county seat was Gayoso, Missouri but because the Mississippi was eroding the land Gayoso was sitting on, the courthouse was moved to Caruthersville in 1899.
