Plaintiff's Verdict for Sinus Surgery Negligence - February 12, 2010
The Padberg & Corrigan Law Firm recently tried to success a medical malpractice case in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. The plaintiff underwent sinus surgery by an ear, nose & throat surgeon in Poplar Bluff. Plaintiff believed that the doctor removed too much tissue during the procedure, which caused a crack in the cribriform plate in plaintiff's skull, resulting in leakage of cerebral spinal fluid and meningitis. In addition, plaintiff believed that his sense of smell was affected. The defendant hired two well known experts to defend the doctor. Matthew Padberg tried the case on behalf of the plaintiff and on January 28, 2010, a Butler County jury returned a verdict in favor of the patient and against the doctor.
