$1,850,000 Settlement for Wrongful Death Tractor-Trailer Accident - November 13, 2009

Morris, a woman who was fatally injured when her vehicle was rear-ended by a tractor-trailer owned and operated by M & D Freight, Inc. The tragic motor vehicle collision occurred on July 2, 2007, on Interstate 44 near Viaduct Street in the City of Pacific, Franklin County, Missouri.

The collision occurred when the driver of the 18-wheel tractor trailer, who was driving too fast, approached a construction zone on Interstate 44. Lakesha R. Morris was stopped in traffic on the interstate in a construction zone. The tractor-trailer was traveling at 65 mph when it failed to stop and rear-ended the Morris vehicle causing Ms. Morris to sustain a severe brain injury that resulted in her death.
