The Padberg & Corrigan Law Firm obtained a $300,000 settlement in a wrongful death lawsuit arising from the medical negligence of ambulance personnel while transferring a 64-year old woman from a hospital bed to an ambulance stretcher.
The attorneys at The Padberg & Corrigan Law Firm filed a lawsuit on behalf of the husband and two children of the woman who tragically died as a result of medical neglect when two ambulance personnel were transferring her from a hospital bed to an ambulance stretcher. The ambulance personnel failed to lock the stretcher wheels and, during transfer, the stretcher moved, causing her to be dropped to the floor. The trauma from the impact on the hospital floor lacerated her spleen and caused internal bleeding. Approximately eight hours later, she died from the injuries sustained in the fall.
